Q: Are Ricos Cheese Sauces, Nacho Chips & pre-popped Popcorn Gluten Free/ non-GMO/ Kosher/ Organic/ Halal/ Vegetarian?
Gluten Free: Our Gourmet Nacho Cheese Sauce, Chips and Popcorn are gluten free.
Our Condensed Aged Cheddar Cheese is not.
Non-GMO: Ricos Popcorn proudly uses Non-GMO corn.
Kosher: Everything’s kosher with our Pickles and Popcorn.
Organic: Currently Ricos does not offer any organic items, but we’re always developing new products, so stay tuned!
Halal Diet: Our Premium Nacho Cheese Sauce meets the Halal diet.
Vegetarian: Our Premium Nacho Cheese Sauce meets the vegetarian diet.
Q: What are the ingredients and nutritional facts?
A: All of our Ricos Products are nut and gluten-free. The only “certified” gluten-free product outside of our cheeses; aside from our Condensed Aged Cheddar Cheese, and chips is our popcorn. Q: Do Ricos Cheese sauces have MSG?
A: Our Condensed Cheese and Queso Blanco do not have MSG.
Q. Do Ricos Cheese Sauces contain animal enzymes?
A. We have many cheese sauces at Ricos. The following products do not contain ingredients from an animal source. They use rennet which is from a microbial or non-animal source:

Q: How do you store Ricos Cheese?
A: For maximum deliciousness we recommend eating within 4 days of opening. Make sure the opened container is properly covered and refrigerated.
Q: Can I refrigerate Ricos Cheese?
A: Opened Ricos Cheese containers that have been covered properly can be refrigerated for up to 5 days.
Q: Can I freeze Ricos Cheese?
A: Freezing Ricos Cheese Sauce will result in loss of consistency upon thawing. It is recommended to not freeze the cheese.
Q: Is the Cheese microwavable?
A: Our cheese is totally zap-able! Just make sure you pour into a microwave safe container.
Q: Temperature preference?
A: Like the famous fairytale, we believe the perfect temperature isn’t too hot, isn’t too cold but the perfect in between. It’s all about finding the perfect warmth for you!
Q: Can I dilute the ready to serve product? If so, by how much?
A: Get more for your money is just what we had in mind when Ricos developed its most popular formula. The formula allows the addition of up to 52 oz. of water or jalapeño juice or a combination of both for additional yield.
Q: Why does my Cheese Sauce become watery once opened and refrigerated?
A: Once a cheese container is opened, the product is exposed to its surroundings where various enzymes can break down the thickness or viscosity of the cheese-based sauce. Use of utensils that have come into contact with saliva (double dipping) or any other food may accelerate the loss of viscosity of the cheese sauce. Assure that the container is tightly sealed with the proper lid or covering.

Q: Purchasing in Bulk:

Q: What is the cost of equipment?
A: The cost of equipment varies. Our equipment is designed to pay for itself in a short span of time. Please contact your sales representative for more information.
Q: What is the difference between an Automatic Pump and a Gravity machine?
A: The Automatic pump is more effective as it efficiently extracts the cheese out of the bag, resulting in a lower waste ratio. The gravity machines rely on weight to push the cheese out of the bag, resulting in higher waste and longer dispensing times.
