River Relay & Get Outdoors is a thrilling and spectator-friendly event that the entire city can enjoy. Held on the first Saturday of November and offered in partnership with the San Antonio River Authority, the competitive kayak/run race and fair are designed to encourage individuals and families to get involved in outdoor recreation and education, learn more about our environment, and promote a healthy lifestyle. The race requires registration, and the free fair offers food and beverage, live music, and more than 40 organizations and local businesses providing fun, interactive activities for children and families.
Ricos was on site with the Nacho Truck to offer free snacks to participants and visitors.
EVENT MISSION: River Relay was created to bring people from all over San Antonio to the redeveloped Mission Reach Trail and to give them an opportunity to see the River from a different perspective — on the water!
